San Gorgonio Wilderness

This giant wilderness mountain is one of the largest and tallest peaks in the Southern California region. The mountain separates the Big Bear Lake area from the Palm Springs desert – and is only accessible by a few dirt roads while lead to trailheads for horses and hiking trails. Day Hiking and Backpacking is very popular here in warmer months, as well as horse-packing trips.
