Camp Tools

Outdoor Recreation which include: Backpacking, Camping, Fishing, Kayaking, Horseback Riding, Hunting, Boondocking, RVing, and Off Roading, requires a few tools to enjoy it correctly and comfortably. Tools to help manage water, campfires, food preparation and basic organization of gear. If you are planning on cutting your own firewood or clearing out the overgrown fire ring, camp life will be made easier with the proper tools. Camping saws, axes, and shovels can be found here, as well as knives and cooking utensils.

Maps are also considered tools, which will become useful when you are out of cell phone range. Dispersed, primitive camping also requires a campfire permit!

Overlanding is just a new name for an old style of travel. Over Land, as opposed to Over Sea travel, was once a term for Overland Emigrant Travelers from the 1800’s. They literally walked / drove covered wagons and livestock across the continent to relocate their lives on the West Coast – California and Oregon!

However, the current use of this “Overland” phrase typically means off-road primitive camping for an extended period of time. Usually remote, back country destinations, and dirt road travel is part of the package; as well as off-grid living, with a minimal life style.
