Camp Water

water containers, drinking water filters

Water while camping is one of the most important elements of the trip. Camping next to a creek is ideal, but not always available. Water filters for adequate drinking water; water containers for easy tap water; water basins for washing dishes; water buckets for extinguishing your campfire.

The new gravity fed filters will save you needing to constantly hand pump water, kneeling by the creek. Your knees will thank you later.

From our decades of experience camping – the soft, collapsible water containers tend to – puncture, “roll” off the table, tailgate or rock, or they can leak (eventually). That is why we recommend the hard plastic water containers. Tough and large. Water is not always abundant. When road tripping, make sure to fill this beast – en route – when you see a garden hose. Or fill w/ stream water. Use for washing, rinsing, bathing, dishes, but always filter water before drinking.

Camping next to water is always a big plus, but you must have a bucket to properly manage your fire and your washing needs. Remember to wash dishes away from the lake or creek, and please use biodegradable soaps!
